Joel Carter
A Pacific Northwest native and Whatcom County resident for 30 years, Joel brings a rare blend of technical skill and academic rigor to every home inspection. With a background in residential remodeling and a degree from Western Washington University, he has spent over a decade teaching high school biology, chemistry, and physics. This career in the sciences has instilled an unwavering commitment to evidence-based practice and extreme attention to detail.
Joel’s diverse professional journey—ranging from serving as Wine Director at the world-renowned Willows Inn to holding certifications as a PADI diver and real estate student—reflects a lifelong dedication to mastery. When he isn’t inspecting homes or teaching chemistry, Joel is likely managing the daily rhythms of his small hobby farm. As a father to two young boys, he understands firsthand the importance of a safe, reliable home for a growing family. Now in his 11th year of teaching, he combines his building experience with a scientist’s eye to provide the most thorough and reliable property assessments in the region.
